CFO explains capital provisions for routine maintenance to avoid bonding

CFO Smiley explained that a provision for capital is used to fund routine maintenance and repairs across the county complex—work such as roofing, HVAC repairs and other contract-supported maintenance—rather than bonding for small, recurring projects. "So that's for, routine maintenance and things. So, like, this year, I know we've done stuff on some of the roofing, the HVAC," Smiley said.
