Select Board flags conservation-commission deadline for Vernon Family Farm plan
The Newfields Conservation Commission voted 5–2 to request Vernon Family Farm submit a written plan by May 1; Chair Shelby Harmon told the Select Board the town will monitor compliance and asked the conservation-commission representative to report back at the next meeting.

Chair Shelby Harmon notified the Select Board of a recent CTU letter summarizing the Conservation Commission's vote on Vernon Family Farm. Harmon read the commission's action: the commission did not reach a conclusion on whether parking significantly impaired the conservation easement but voted 5–2 to require the farm to submit a written plan for review and approval by the commission on or before May 1. "Today is the 7th. That leaves in 23 days to get that in, and I want to ensure that that is complied with," Harmon said.
