Council Member Trey Herman framed the pedestrian safety grant within Media's Vision Zero commitment and urged residents to study initiative details, saying that Vision Zero seeks to eliminate road fatalities by 2050 and focuses on safer infrastructure and emergency medical services. After discussion, council unanimously approved resolution 2026-33 to authorize the borough president and vice president to execute grant documents for pedestrian safety improvements along the State Street business district.
