The Board of Trustees of Columbus Independent School District unanimously approved the final budget amendment for the 2025–2026 school year at a special meeting on Aug. 24, 2026. Trustee Dorothy Wostarek moved to approve the amendment "as presented," and Kimberly Johnson seconded; the motion passed 5–0.
