Staff presenter Petra Shaw described the Douglas MacArthur High School and Hambrick Middle School general plan in the Harris County ETJ, asking for two variances to avoid extending or terminating Connor Street and Winfield Road with cul-de-sacs because existing school structures and a 40-foot Harris County flood-control drainage channel constrained those extensions.
