Dr. Castillo, HFSC vice president and COO, gave an operations update that stressed both progress and near‑term risk. She said outsourcing and hiring have helped reduce backlogs in forensic biology and seized drugs, and that outsourcing has been important to keep kits below HFSC's 90‑day target. "This outsourcing...has been key in what we've been able to do around keeping our kits under 90 days," she said.
