The Cache County Council adopted Ordinance 2026-35 on Sept. 8, approving a rezone request for 17.17 acres south of Mendon from Agricultural (A10) to Rural 2 (RU2). Development Services Director Brian Abbott presented the staff report noting Planning Commissions 5–0 recommendation and a formal letter of support from Mendon City. Applicant Norm Bird spoke in favor, saying the family intends to create a family residential subdivision.
