Consultant says reforms in place but recommends post-OIG forensic audit after finding unsupported transactions

Staff agreed to provide transaction detail and a vendor list at the next meeting.

Angela Reyes, representing Angela Reyes LLC, presented a final consulting report to the Pahokee City Commission on Sept. 22, summarizing work to strengthen financial management, audit readiness and internal controls. The deliverables included policies, workflows, training materials and a comprehensive draft response to the OIG report that, according to Reyes, addresses eight findings and 19 recommendations.
