Parents ask CUSD 200 for clear mitigation plan amid Edison Middle School construction concerns
Edison parents told the board they have observed dust, odors, water leaks and other issues during ongoing construction and requested a written health-and-safety construction mitigation plan (negative pressure, HEPA filtration, HVAC isolation, containment, environmental testing) and timelines for completion.

A group of Edison Middle School parents delivered a detailed public comment during the Sept. 23 meeting asking the district for a clear construction safety plan and timeline. They said staff and students have reported dust, odors, moisture and classroom lighting issues and that an OSHA complaint had been filed by Edison staff on Aug. 27 relating to health concerns.
