Trappe council approves Lakeside sludge removal permit application; developer to cover costs
Council unanimously approved a sludge removal application to allow Lakeside plant sludge to be hauled to Easton Utilities; council noted the Town's permit currently covers only hauling into Trappe, so the permit must list both entities and developer will be financially responsible.

James Cook of Rauch told the council that sludge from the Lakeside plant must be hauled out every six to eight months to Easton Utilities and that the Town’s existing permit allows hauling from Easton to Trappe but not the reverse. He said a permit application has been submitted in both names so hauling can occur in the required direction, and that "the developer is financially responsible for any costs associated with this."
