Council authorized Jones & DeMille to design an approximate 600-foot, 8-inch waterline extension and approved engineering costs up to $8,000 to include obtaining and running an existing water model to assess pressure impacts on existing residences.

The Preston City Council approved a scope of work with Jones & DeMille Engineering to design the West Oneida waterline extension, an approximately 600-foot run using an 8-inch main. Michael Hartvigsen of Jones & DeMille said a prior water model exists and the firm would attempt to obtain and incorporate it into their design; the base engineering cost was quoted at $7,500 with a possible additional $500 to integrate the model.
