City staff outlined the proposed process to fill a partial council term that runs through November 2025. The clerk will accept applications through May 1, and the materials will be posted on the city website; staff proposed collating interview questions and, if necessary, holding in-person interviews at the May 5 meeting. If many applicants apply, staff suggested distributing standard questions in advance and using a ranked-choice vote by the council to make the appointment.
