The town's water-main replacement project has experienced early complications, Superintendent Matt reported through the clerk. Matt said crews encountered "multiple different utilities where they weren’t supposed to be," which slowed the project initially, but work "has picked up this week, making good progress." He also reported three main breaks since the start of the project and noted the Town of Cle Elum will begin charging South Cle Elum for water loss on leaks.
