Commissioners approve jail and courthouse reclassifications, promotion for grant coordinator
The court reclassified an existing jail sergeant to an administrative/compliance sergeant, approved a promotion of Dwight Mays to lieutenant as grant coordinator, and reclassified courthouse security Karen Reese with adjusted pay scales; commissioners cited a recent jail inspection with zero deficiencies.

The court approved several personnel actions including reclassifying a current jail sergeant to an administrative jail sergeant (compliance) to support jail inspection work; officials said the jail recently passed inspection with zero deficiencies. "We passed our jail inspection with zero deficiencies... this man is stretched thin," a commissioner said while urging the reclassification to provide additional capacity.
