Pasco proposes new code to force developers onto collectors, ban staging in rights‑of‑way

Planning staff proposed amendments to the Pasco County Land Development Code to require construction traffic to use collector/arterial roads, avoid school-zone routes, prohibit staging and require repair and daily sweeping or watering of local roads used for construction.

Patrick Dutta, director of development review services, told the board staff will propose code language to control construction traffic on local roads, prohibit stacking/staging in rights-of-way, require daily street sweeping or watering on sites that use local roads, and require developers to videotape road conditions and repair damage after construction.
