City public works and IT staff asked the commission to approve several capital items. The commission awarded Action Traffic Maintenance the low bid of $25,156.25 to replace 13 guardrails needed to meet current warrant requirements. Public Works also requested replacement of an aging air compressor at the water treatment plant (the existing unit is roughly 34 years old); the commission approved purchase from Zorn Compressor & Equipment not to exceed $15,000 from the water equipment fund.
