The Clinton City Council voted unanimously to create a standing audit committee and appointed Davis County Comptroller Scott Park as the at-large member to provide extra oversight of the city'9s finances.

The Clinton City Council unanimously approved Resolution 23-26 on Sept. 22 to create a standing audit committee composed of two council members and one at-large community member with finance or auditing experience. Mayor Marie Doherty said the committee is intended as "an extra layer of oversight" beyond the city'9s external auditor.
