The Cass County commissioners on Tuesday authorized planning staff to proceed with two demolition-related contracts. Planning staff described a $14,100 contract with TC Excavating to demolish a house at 229 Beale Street, remove debris and backfill the site, and a $2,875 contract described as Jay's personal services to remove a front porch, patch the roof and secure the structure at 1451 West 350 South.
