Mayor Matt Zacker said the city has paused parts of the permitting process and drafted stronger rules after a contentious planning commission meeting about a proposed private data center. "We were able to slow down the process for 4.5 months," Zacker said, adding the delay allowed staff and the community time to gather information and test legal defenses.
