Nutter Run water-line replacement begins; mayor says no rate increase expected
Public works and the treasurer reported the Nutter Run water-line replacement began the day before the July 14 council meeting and tie-in work was scheduled for 7/16/2026. Mayor Rezin Hudkins told a resident the project is already funded and "would not create a future increase as a result."

Town staff confirmed that the Nutter Run water-line replacement project began on July 13 and that tie-in work is scheduled to start Thursday, July 16, 2026. Treasurer Leslie Cummings said the project timing was included in the council packet and public-works (written) reports noted the project has moved into active construction.
