Monkton Conservation Commission reviews Pond Brook plan, schedules fall workdays
At its Sept. 8 meeting, the commission reviewed a draft Pond Brook Management Plan, set autumn volunteer days for buckthorn removal and amphibian-crossing work, and accepted the Aug. 11 minutes. Members also planned a knotweed presentation and community radio recordings.

The Town of Monkton Conservation Commission met virtually Sept. 8, 2026. Ann Miller called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.; members present included Debra Sprague, Janet Schwarz, Sue Stasny, David Moore, Chuck Soule and Jaime Schulte (who joined a bit late). The commission reviewed a draft of the Pond Brook Conservation Area management plan and scheduled fall volunteer events.
