The Commission reviewed proposed language to create a command‑level basic certificate for former Nevada‑certified officers who fell out of certification after a five‑year gap. Director Mike Sherlock said the draft limits the pathway to prior Nevada experience and would apply to officers who left the profession more than 60 months earlier.
