Aug 24, 2026

Oneida County Solid Waste Committee approved adding a late-fee policy and customer-letter template to department policies and will have both reviewed by Corporation Counsel before mailing; two long past-due accounts (Whit's End, $179; War Transport, two unpaid loads) will be referred for further action.

The full story

The committee reviewed a proposed late-fee policy and accompanying customer letter that staff intend to include in the Solid Waste Department's Policies and Procedures manual. Director Lisa Bauknecht said there are currently two lengthy past-due accounts: Whit's End, which has a balance of $179 and whose account has been revoked, and War Transport, which has two unpaid loads of cardboard. Bauknecht explained that the letters would be sent with customer statements at the end of September if approved.
