UW-Extension reduces Health & Well-Being educator FTE; Stepping On fall-prevention program continues
UW-Extension reported ADRC funding reductions required cutting the Health & Well-Being educator position from 0.70 FTE to 0.50 FTE; staff will pursue grants and continue programs including Stepping On, which research shows can reduce fall risk by ~31%.

Amber Rehberg provided an update on the Health & Well-Being (HWB) educator position shared between Extension and the Aging and Disability Resource Center. She said ADRC could not sustain prior funding levels during Human Services budget development, and as a result the HWB position was reduced from 0.70 FTE to 0.50 FTE.
