County approves Bitco workers' comp quote, notes $22,119 body-camera amendment and studies polling consolidation

At its Jan. 13 meeting, the Jenkins County Board of Commissioners approved Bitco's workers' compensation quote for $74,463 after staff presented comparative proposals from Encova ($84,244) and Berkshire ($66,813). Administrator Grady Saxon said the majority preference from an earlier poll favored Bitco, a company with an A+ Standard & Poor's rating.
