The Jenkins County Board of Commissioners voted Feb. 10 to approve an 80% county / 20% city split of proposed Fire/Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) proceeds and to ask the Elections Supervisor to place a referendum on the May 19, 2026 ballot.
