The board discussed a funding request from GNET (community broadcasting) and whether to keep GNET as an annual appropriations line or to treat it as a vendor contract with deliverables. "GNET is asking for, a line of $4,173 in the budget," the administrator said. Some board members said the request represented a roughly 100% increase from previous amounts around $2,000 and favored keeping the funding on the appropriations side; others favored making GNET a contracted vendor with specified numbers of meetings covered.
