Commission hears land-use code rewrite update; workgroup may fast-track housing fixes
Commissioners were briefed that a land-use rewrite consultant will be selected soon and that the workgroup may advance near-term code changes to address affordable housing barriers before the full rewrite is complete.

Commissioner Manning reported on July 1 that the land-use rewrite workgroup appointed late last year has been meeting about monthly and that procurement for a consultant is nearing selection. He said the work will accelerate when a consultant is on board and that the group intends community meetings and staff interviews as part of the process.
