The commission approved by consent the appointment of James Halstead to fill the four‑year vacancy on the Chanute Public Library Board of Trustees, with a term running from May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2030. The recommendation came from Library Director Gina Lawrence on behalf of the Library Board.
