At its June 23, 2026 Newton County court meeting, the body approved payment of bills that included a $34,125 invoice to Graystone for election-security equipment purchased under a HAVA subgrant. Staff told commissioners the county’s out-of-pocket share would be approximately $6,500 and that the county expects about $28,000 in reimbursements.
