County staff told the board they asked bond counsel to structure a general-obligation sales-tax bond issue not to exceed $8.5 million to fund a construction project estimated at just over $7.1 million plus alternates and the cost of issuance. The board set a public hearing for June 2 at 9:30 a.m. in the board meeting room and approved resolution language that includes the not-to-exceed amount.
