Committee advances ordinance to codify Wauwatosa appointees to Milwaukee Metro Fire Rescue Board
The committee agreed to advance a redlined ordinance codifying that the Milwaukee Metro Fire Rescue Board will consist of the mayor, the city administrator (or designee) and one council member, and to include tie-vote language sending ties to council with the mayor breaking ties if necessary.

Alder Foley presented an ordinance proposal to codify how Wauwatosa appoints members to the Milwaukee Metro Fire Rescue Board of Directors and to clarify tie-breaking procedures. Foley said the intent was "to just codify what we have done," explaining the board "will consist of 3 people, the mayor, the city administrator or his or her designee, and a member of council."
