Council reviews engineering increases, plan-review software and Comprehensive Plan timing

Councilors discussed a 5.74% proposed increase in the Engineering Department budget, a $1,000 plan-review software request and two $660 planning licenses, and heard that most Comprehensive Plan work is expected in 2027.

Public Works Director Ryan Ruzek told the Council the Engineering Department budget reflects an overall increase of 5.74 percent and identified a separate $1,000 request for plan-review software that was not included in the spreadsheet. Community Development Manager Sarah Madden said the Comprehensive Plan update is expected to have most work occur in 2027 and that staff requested interactive project-tracking software to manage development and redevelopment projects in the city.
