DeKalb committee adopts six‑point 2027 state legislative platform
The operations committee agreed on a six‑item legislative platform to forward to the full board, led by a MARTA study committee and mobility funding priority and including tenant protections, strategic housing investment, behavioral health funding, water/sewer funding and annexation/new city reforms.

The DeKalb County Operations Committee voted to forward the county's 2027 state legislative platform to the full Board of Commissioners after staff presented an updated draft of priorities. Staff told the committee the platform reflects the committee's direction and the commission's input and that it will be transmitted to the full board once staff gets final clearance.
