Fairview board refers misconduct concerns about commissioner to state ethics, elections commissions
After debate and failed local censure, the board voted 4-0 to forward findings relating to Commissioner Don Buffalini to the Tennessee Ethics Commission and Tennessee Election Commission for independent review.

City Attorney Carter explained to the board that some alleged matters fall outside the city code and recommended forwarding certain findings to the Tennessee Ethics Commission and the Tennessee Election Commission. "This is the 2nd part of, of the inquiry here, forwarding, the items to the Tennessee Ethics Commission and Tennessee Election Commission as Miss Eads recommended," he said.
