Local district and family judges told the commissioners court they face immediate and growing space and security problems that threaten court operations and grant compliance. Judges said grand juror processing, jury-room capacity and workspace for district- and county-clerk functions are strained; the district court reported hosting more than 300 jurors on a recent summons day and lacking adequate holding and meeting space.
