Kendall County Commissioner's Court unanimously proclaimed June 12, 2026 as Women's Veterans Recognition Day after veterans and local organizers described outreach and activities for women who served. Tori Rogers, a retired Navy senior chief who said she has helped launch veteran networking events in the area, urged the court to recognize the contributions of women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
