Town attorney circulated an e-bike (and micro-mobility) ordinance that clarifies class definitions, restricts eMotos and addresses devices on town property; the council approved the first and second readings and scheduled a third reading in October.

Town attorney (speaker 9) presented ordinance 09211a, which regulates electric bicycles and micro-mobility devices on public paths, rights-of-way and town property; the ordinance also prohibits certain electric mopeds (referred to as eMotos) and adds provisions for micro-mobility devices not explicitly covered by Indiana Code.
