Julie of Easton Main Street presented the selected designs for this year's painted-hydrant program, saying the group received about 30 applications—up from 11 last year—and had to decline some entries because of competition. She described the 400 block of Northampton's hydrant as a floral memorial to a local firefighter, a frog design for Scott Park and an Easton-flag theme for the confluence near North 3rd and Bushkill Street. She noted the library location will feature a minion-themed piece aimed at children.
