Council approves E Plus Technology agreement for enterprise electronics in city fiber backbone

City IT director said E Plus Technology will supply electronics to connect more than 250 sites into redundant rings as part of the city’s fiber backbone; the council approved a professional agreement for the equipment and services portion of the project.

The council approved a professional services agreement with E Plus Technology for electronics and services to complete the city’s fiber backbone project. IT Director Chris Youngblood described the work as the electronics that will "hook up all of that fiber and then allow us to...connect to it" and said the design will create redundant rings so a fiber break does not isolate sites.
