Commissioners postpone action on law-enforcement center security devices while seeking grant funding

The court convened a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.089 to discuss the installation of external and internal security devices at the law-enforcement center. When the court returned to open session, the judge recommended postponing immediate action while the auditor's office pursues possible grant funding to help pay for the devices. "I would recommend that we postpone taking action on this while we see if that might be a feasible alternative to help pay for it," the judge said.
