Board approves Equifax Work Number contract for eligibility and child-support verification

Director Michael Aragon presented a proposed state contract for the Equifax Work Number service, which the Department uses for employment and income verification in Child Support Services, Child Welfare and eligibility determinations. Aragon said the annual contract cost was approximately $40,000, an increase of about $3,000–$4,000 over the prior year, and explained that Chelsea Hall of CDHS negotiated an unlimited-hit option to control per-hit billing.
