The board, acting on the Miami County Engineer’s recommendation, awarded the Swailes Road Bridge No. 02.48 Replacement Project to Jutte Excavating Inc. of Fort Recovery, Ohio, for $960,034.50. The minutes state that "the execution and signing of said contract and delivery of the same to Jutte Excavating Inc. shall serve as a Notice to Proceed with said Project." The motion was moved by Mr. Simmons, seconded by Mr. Mercer, and approved by roll call (Westfall, Simmons, Mercer: Yea).
