The Wheeler County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 20260102 on Jan. 28, 2026, adopting an updated County Local Emergency Operations Plan (LEOP). Alma Beland, Director of Emergency Management and representative of the 911 Region 26 Council, presented the updated plan to the board. Commissioner Pokorny moved to approve the resolution; Chairman Heinz seconded and the motion passed with all three commissioners voting aye.
