Commissioners authorize appropriation for Swailes Road bridge replacement
Miami County commissioners unanimously authorized appropriation (eminent domain) of the Shroyer parcel to secure a highway easement needed to replace Swailes Road Bridge No. 02.48, and directed the prosecuting attorney to file petitions in county court.

The Miami County Board of Commissioners on March 3 authorized appropriating a parcel owned by Irving Henne Shroyer and Gary S. Shroyer to obtain a perpetual highway easement required for the Swailes Road Bridge No. 02.48 replacement project (MIA-CR137-02.48, OPWC DKAC02). Commissioner Wade H. Westfall, Commissioner Gregory A. Simmons and Commissioner Ted S. Mercer voted yea by roll call; the motion passed unanimously.
