Mar 9, 2026
Building inspector Dan told the council that a proposed addition on a commercial/industrial property would expand the building to about 46% of existing area, triggering a site-development plan; Mr. Myers may scale back to avoid the 25% threshold, otherwise public notice and potential BZA review will be required.

Building inspector Dan briefed the council on a submittal from a property owner (referred to as Mr. Myers) who is proposing a large addition. Dan said the addition would increase the building area to roughly 46% of the existing footprint, which exceeds the 25% threshold that triggers the site-development plan process; if the owner reduces the addition to stay under 25% the project could avoid that trigger but would still likely need setback variances.
