LBO staff presented the proposed evaluation objective for the Green Acres preferential assessment program and the commission voted to adopt it. The LBO described Green Acres as a preferential and deferred assessment for qualifying agricultural land (qualifying parcels generally 10+ acres) that values property on agricultural use rather than highest-and-best-use market value; the LBO estimated an FY2027 fiscal impact of $25.8 million.
