Superintendent staff told the board that the district submitted a solar grant application (final deadline July 2) and that, if approved, the installation could cover the majority of the district's electricity usage though not necessarily 100 percent. Staff said engineers have completed placement drawings and the district expects installation to proceed this summer if funding is awarded.
