City of Fairborn council members adopted Resolution No. 40-16 on Oct. 3, 2016, establishing the current city manager's final day of employment as October 7, 2016, and naming Pete Bales to serve as the city manager until a search is completed. Mike Mayer, the city solicitor, read the resolution aloud and explained its provisions for paying accrued benefits.
