The Burke County Finance Committee met April 9, 2026, and opened two sets of procurement bids but took no final awards at the session. Commissioner Q. U. “Art” Lively called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM; County Manager Adam Flakes told the committee that recommendations on the bids would be presented to the Board of Commissioners on April 14, 2026.
